Platinum Endeavour CD/DVD Enclosure rates 8.3 out of 10

The Swann Platinum Endeavour USB 2.0 CD / DVD Drive Enclosure was recently reviewed on the product review website, KIWIreview.co.nz. The Endeavour was given a high rating of 8.3 out of a possible 10 based on comfort, durability, value for money and personal choice.
The Endeavour is an affordable, portable back up or file exchange for internal DVD and CD burners and readers. The product is designed for desktop and notebook users on the move.
The reviewer ran numerous tests on the drive enclosure: the first was with a simple ROM drive that he then used to copy data from a CD to the computer system. It was noted that the ‘results from the data copy test was a simple and fast data transfer rate….the added bonus was that access to other drives onboard the system is understandably a little quicker’. The summary was that ‘multi tasking should be like this always’.
For the next test the reviewer used a DVD Dual layer burner. He found that he was able to multi-task whilst writing a track on a CD. He ‘was happy with the results’. The reviewer’s next assessment involved the DVD burner and included him producing a DVD disc and found this process to be ‘excellent!!’.
The reviewer commented on the look of the unit, as being ‘a pretty smart looking device’. Overall, the KIWIreview.co.nz was ‘very pleased with this unit and external back up users would find a use for this device’.
