Rated 2 out of 5 by Milton Image in daylight is good, totally washed out at night; poor tilt capability
PROS:
Good image quality under good to low lighting. Installation should be easy.
CONS:
Extremely poor image quality under no lighting. Image is all washed out such that even large black items are barely visable. A moving person looks like a very faint ghost and may not be detectable if not moving. Also, tilt seems to stop at about 10 degrees. If mounted under a eve, camera can't be aimed straight, or near straight, ahead. Documentation doesn't match what the OSD (On Screen Display# shows. Technical support was sympathetic but not helpful.
SUMMARY:
Don't buy this camera unless you will never have a totally dark environment. This camera is not representative of Swann products.
I returned this camera and brought a similiar camera with the Sony Effio DSP. It too has the same poor night vision characteristics. I have several other IR cameras and their night vision range from acceptable to surprising good #from a 0 IP camera). I suspect the Effio DSP may be designed for low light levels, but not no light.
